We are proud to say that MGM Brakes meets REACH Regulation Standards on all products we manufacture in Murphy, North Carolina and Cloverdale, California.
REACH Regulation:
REACH is a new European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (Regulation EC N. 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances. The new law entered into force on 1-June-2007. REACH places greater responsibility on industry to manage the risks that chemicals may pose to the health and the environment.
MGM Brakes REACH Compliance Statement:
MGM Brakes, based in North America, designs and manufactures brakes actuators for the commercial vehicle industry.
Our products (or Articles) supplied a). do not contain substances that are intended to be released, b). contain no substance that could be included in the candidate list for authorization, c). even if such substance is present, it would be in such a trace amount that it will not be above a concentration of 0.1% weight by weight, and d). the total annual amount of such substance will not be over 1 tonne.
MGM Brakes is therefore not required to pre-register/register or notify in accordance to Article 7 of the REACH regulation.
